A suction part of an apparatus for purifying water in a water tank using buoyancy is provided to activate and hygienically control water in the water tank by sucking floating matters, foam and the like on the surface of the water while always moving horizontally and independently according to a level of water in the water tank. A suction part of an apparatus for purifying water in a water tank comprises a suction pipe(10) having a suction port formed on a top portion thereof to suck water, a transfer pipe(40) for transferring water sucked into the suction pipe to a cleaning part(50), a circulation pump(30) driven to transfer the sucked water to the cleaning part through the transfer pipe, and a suction control pipe(20) installed to suck water according to a water level, wherein two or more horizontal buoyancy members(21) formed in the form of a plate which has fixed thickness and area and made of a floatable material with buoyancy are symmetrically connected to each other around the suction control pipe such that the suction control pipe is balanced to maintain the horizontality without shaking.
