A small-sized vibration gyro that can be vibrated at an original vibration mode by confining torsional vibration of a vibrator when rotational angular velocity is detected. The vibration gyro (10) includes a tuning fork-type vibrator (12) composed of a base (12a) and legs (12b, 12c). The vibrator (12) is joined to a support plate (26a) by electrically conductive adhesive (24). The support plate (26a) includes an outer frame (28), and a joint section (32) is formed on one side in the longitudinal direction of the outer frame (28). The joint section (32) is supported in a space (30) by a first support section (34). The width of the first support section (34) is less than that of the joint section (32).The vibrator (12) is joined to the joint section (32) of the support plate (26a). ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
