CELLULOSIC STRETCHABLE WOVEN FABRIC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulosic stretchable woven fabric having excellent stretchability and stretch recovery properties, a soft touch feeling and hygroscopicity. SOLUTION: The cellulosic stretchable woven fabric is a woven fabric comprising cellulosic crimped fibers having≥15% stretch extension ratio at 20°C and 65%HR and satisfies requirements of 5-35% extension ratio and≥70% extension recovery ratio in the direction in which the cellulosic crimped fibers are arranged of the woven fabric at 20°C and 65%HR, 5-25% extension ratio and≥70% extension recovery ratio in the direction in which the cellulosic crimped fibers are arranged of the woven fabric at 20°C and 90%HR and 50-350 g/m2weight. Precursor conjugated fibers in which two kinds of cellulose esters having different alkali reactivities are joined are arranged in warp yarns and weft yarns and woven. The resultant woven fabric is then subjected to an alkali treatment and the cellulose ester side having high alkali reactivity of the precursor conjugated fibers is de-esterified and converted into cellulose. Thereby, the crimped conjugated fibers in which the cellulose ester is joined to the cellulose are obtained to provide stretchability to the woven fabric. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
