<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup-shaped container having a variable surface part to be deformed according to the change of the internal pressure on a barrel wall of the container and capable of absorbing the pressure reduction and withstanding an increase of the internal pressure caused by generated gas. <P>SOLUTION: The cup-shaped container is heat-molded of a synthetic resin-made sheet as a raw material, and composed of a mouth with a flange projected therefrom, a barrel wall and a bottom wall. A variable surface part to be deformed according to the change of the internal pressure of the container is provided on the barrel wall.
