<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data alteration device for altering print data recorded in a recording medium so that the print data can be suitable for the function of a user printer. <P>SOLUTION: In this print data alternation device which a recording medium can be attached to and detached from, print data in which print conditions and the image of a page as the object of printing are described are recorded in a recording medium, and the print data alternation device is provided with an instruction receiving means for receiving the selection instruction of a use printer; an acquisition means for acquiring functional information showing the function of a selection-instructed printer; a specification means for analyzing the recorded print conditions, and for specifying the function requested by the print conditions; and a recording control means for comparing the function shown by the acquired functional information and the specified function, and for, when the function shown by the acquired functional information does not satisfy the specified function, altering the print data so that the print data can be suitable for the function of the selection-instructed printer, and for additionally recording the altered data in the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
