PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the confirmation of a breaking operation in a state that a handle lock device is mounted, and to allow a re-closing operation. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker has an operation handle 3 tilting to become parallel to the upper surface of a breaker case 1 in an on-state, wherein the operation handle 3 carries out a rising operation in executing a breaking operation. The circuit breaker is provided with the handle lock device 2 concealing the operation handle 3 in the on-state to prohibit an off-operation of the operation handle 3. The handle lock device 2 is provided with a door plate 12 executing an opening operation in response to the rising operation of the operation handle 3 by the breaking operation. When the door plate 12 in an open state is closed, the operation handle 3 is rotated in an on-direction in conjunction with the door plate, and the re-closing operation is executed by closing the door plate 12.
