PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst structure which can improve deposition efficiency when manufacturing a carbon nano-structure composed of carbon crystals by vapor phase growth, and a method for manufacturing a carbon nano-structure using the catalyst structure. SOLUTION: The catalyst structure used for manufacturing the carbon nano-structure composed of carbon crystals by the vapor phase growth method has a first surface in which at least a first metal is exposed, and a second surface in which at least a second metal is exposed. The first metal and the second metal are formed so as to come into contact with each other. The first metal is composed of a material of which the main component is one selected from iron, cobalt, and nickel, and the second metal is composed of a material containing palladium.
