PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and inexpensive coat-type mildew-proofing agent which penetrates into the inner part and inhibits the growth of even the mycelia of fungi, simply by being applied or sprayed to the surface of a paint, a sealing material, etc. without generating a toxic gas. SOLUTION: The coat-type mildew-proofing agent includes 1-10 pts.wt. of an organic antiseptic agent and a solvent capable of dissolving the organic antiseptic agent at normal temperature and penetrating into a sealing material or a polymer. Preferably, the solvent is a terpene such as limonene, citral, etc., and more preferably, the mildew-proofing agent is an emulsion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
