<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible printed circuit (FPC) from which back flip cover does not easily fall out. <P>SOLUTION: The connector 10 is provided with a housing 2 with an opening 21 having an FPC1 inserted and a step 22 formed, and a back flip cover 3 for opening and closing the step 22. The housing 2 has contacts 4, 5 arranged in parallel alternatively. The contacts 4, 5 are provided with fixing arms 41, 51, elastic arms 42, 52, coupling legs 43, 53 for coupling the fixing arms 41, 51 and the elastic arms 42, 52, and engaging arms 44, 54 extending toward an opposite direction from the elastic arms 42, 52. The engaging arm 44 includes a receptacle 44a extending toward an opposite direction to a bottom surface of the step 22. The second engaging arm 54 includes a pressing part 54a extending to the bottom surface of the step 22. The back flip cover 3 includes an engaging part 34 engaging with the receptacle 44a, and a support part 35 to be pressed by the pressing part 54a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
