PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a reproducing function for advanced contents defined by HD DVD standards. SOLUTION: An information reproducing device as an embodiment of the present invention includes a reproducing means for outputting pictures, each formed by putting a plurality of planes included in a content together one over another with prescribed transmissivities, in order based upon reproduction control time information in response to reproduction indication input, and a reproduction stopping means for stopping picture update based upon the reproduction control time information in response to stop indication input, changing transmissivities of some of the plurality of planes constituting each picture, and artificially generating a reproduction stop picture.
