PURPOSE: An anode for a secondary battery, its preparation method, a secondary battery containing the anode and its operation method are provided, to improve the specific capacity, the cycling property and the safety of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: The anode(14) comprises a host material capable of adsorbing desorbing lithium in the electrochemical system; and a lithium metal dispersed in the host material. Preferably the lithium metal is a lithium powder with an average size less than about 20 micrometers; and the host material comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a carbon material, Si, Sn, tin oxide, a composite tin alloy, a transition metal oxide, lithium nitride and lithium oxide. Preferably the carbon material is graphite. The anode is prepared by preparing the host material; dispersing a lithium metal in the host material; and forming the host material and the dispersed lithium metal into an anode. |
