PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of board for liquid crystal display panel capable of preventing attachment of dusts produced by rubbing to an alignment film in the cleaning after rubbing and improving the display quality. SOLUTION: In the cleaning performed after rubbing the alignment film 27 formed on a mother board, before cleaning the whole board with the cleaning liquid 29, droplets of pure water are ejected onto only the surface of the alignment film 27 formed on each cell S by using a droplet ejection device to form a shielding film 28. Then, after forming the shielding film 28 on only the surface of the alignment film 27 of each cell S, the whole board is cleaned by causing the cleaning liquid 29 to flow from one direction on the surface of the mother board.
