The cosmetic or dermatological formulation includes root parts or ethanolic extracts of the Geranium. The phenoxyethanol, parabens, organic acids and their salts, benzethonium chloride, piroctone olamine, silver compounds, formaldehyde and formaldehyde cleavers or 3-iodo-2-propynyl-butylcarbamate (IPBC), and additionally lactic acid bacteria, particularly Lactobacillus stimulans and a humectant, particularly glycerin are also provided.
