An apparatus for driving contents based on an IC chip in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefore are provided to offer a user a content list of all contents, recorded in the IC chip of the mobile communication terminal, thereby enabling the user to perform and manage the contents through a user interface. An apparatus for driving contents based on an IC chip of a mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: a content list controller(111) for preparing a content list for contents; an interface control unit(112) which displays the content list and receives the selection for specific contents from a user; and a content execution part(113) for controlling the execution of the contents.
