<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device capable of realizing the highly efficient operation in a multi-car type elevator having a plurality of cars which independently travel in each shaft while a plurality of shafts form one bank. <P>SOLUTION: The control device comprises a classification means for classifying the non-responsive call common to a bank by the predetermined category, a call allocation means for allocating the classified non-responsive call to any one shaft by the category, and an operational pattern designation means for designating an adequate operational pattern to each shaft according to the category of the allocated call.
