PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a corrosion portion capable of precisely detecting the degrees of corrosion and degradation present in an invisible spot such as reinforcing steel in concrete, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: The device for detecting a corrosion portion, which detects the corrosion in a metal in an object to be inspected, is provided with: an indent wave transmission section 100 for generating electromagnetic waves with a predetermined frequency; an incident wave transmitting antenna 101 for applying the electromagnetic waves with the predetermined frequency generated by the transmission section 100 to the object; a reflected wave receiving antenna 201 for receiving reflected waves reflected from the object; and a reflected wave receiver 200 for observing higher harmonics with the predetermined frequency of the reflected waves received by the reflected receiving antenna 201.
