Provided are a printing paper which is produced in a state that a detection tag is formed in the printing paper, and a manufacturing method of the printing paper. A security printing paper comprises a first raw paper(10) and a second raw paper(20); a thin metal film formed on one face of the second raw paper; and a detection tag(30) formed between the thin metal film and the one face of the first raw paper and formed of a magnetic substance. The first raw paper or the second raw paper has a predetermined design or pattern formed on an outer face thereof. The thin metal film is formed by vacuum evaporating or transferring metal onto one face of the first raw paper.
