PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device with designing versatility at a circuit board improved without the need of a new case, as well as a lighting fixture equipped with the discharge lamp lighting device. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device 1 is provided with a bottom plate part 6, a pair of erected parts 7, 7 fitted at either side of the bottom plate part 6, and a plurality of locking pawls 8a, 8b fitted to the erected parts 7, 7 at a given interval as well as a plurality of locking holes 9a, 9b located further at a non-bottom plate part side than the locking pawls 8a, 8b. It is also provided with a case bottom plate 3 supporting one of the faces 2a of the circuit board 2 as each locking pawl 8a, 8b of the same distance from a bottom face 6a of the bottom plate part 6 is folded, and a case lid body 4 locked to the locking holes 9a, 9b as locking pieces 13, 14, 15 of a pair of side plate parts 11, 11 are folded so as to come in close contact with the other face 2b of the circuit board 2.
