PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally control a pressure of fuel supplied to a high pressure fuel pump, improve control stability, and reduce exhaust gas. SOLUTION: A current waveform of an electromagnetic coil (solenoid) provided to an electromagnetic actuator for variable discharge of a high pressure fuel pump is switched according to an engine operating condition.
