PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed unit of an image forming device capable of preventing accumulation of dust inside the paper feed unit. SOLUTION: The paper feed unit 31 of the image forming device comprises a unit base 44 having a bottom plate 45, a guide plate 32 arranged with a space from the bottom plate 45, and a slide member 34 which is guided by the guide plate 32 to allow the guide plate 32 to slide in the width direction according to the size of a sheet. Guide groove holes 33a, 33b extending in the width direction of the guide plate 32 are formed in the guide plate 32, and guide ribs 34a, 34b projected downwardly from the bottom surface, inserted in the guide groove holes 33a, 33b and guided by the guide groove holes 33a, 33b are provided on the bottom surface of the slide member 34. A closing member 48 for closing the guide groove holes 33a, 33b is arranged on the unit base 44 along the guide groove holes 33a, 33b of the guide plate 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
