The valves e.g. inlet and outlet valves (10a, 10b), have valve rods (16a, 16b) including valve rod sections (18a, 18b) made of austenitic steel and connected with valve heads (14a, 14b). Valve rod sections (22a, 22b) are made of martensitic steel and connected with the sections (18a, 18b). The valve rods comprise truncated conical shaped areas (24a, 24b), where diameter of the rods is reduced from one diameter to another diameter in direction of the valve heads in the areas. The areas extend above more than 50 percentage of its length in the sections (22a, 22b).
