PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable achieving optional required number of coated optical fibers while considering easiness of taking out the coated optical fiber. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is provided with an optical fiber unit, a tension member disposed in parallel to the optical fiber unit, a jacket extruded to cover the outer periphery of the components together, an optical fiber ribbon with a small number of cores or a single core optical fiber, and a multi-core optical fiber ribbon; wherein the outer surface of a cable sheath has a notch, and the shortest distance between the optical fiber ribbon with a small number of cores or the single optical fiber and the bottom part of the notch is smaller than the shortest distance between the multi-core optical fiber ribbon and the bottom of the notch.
