PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form label peeling grooves in a label paper without leaving the trace of the label peeling grooves on a base and without allowing labels to fall from the label paper. SOLUTION: This production apparatus for a label continuous body forms label peeling grooves 8 in a label paper of a laminated continuous body formed by temporarily fixing the label paper 2 to the base 3 with a pasting material. A peeling roller 9 for peeling the base from the label paper by rollingly abutting on the base side and guiding it to a bypass passage 10, and a pasting device 11 for pasting again the label paper passing through the peeling roller with the base passing through the bypass passage, are installed in the traveling path of the laminated continuous body. A peeling device 4 for forming the peeling grooves in the label paper by a die roll is installed between the peeling roller and the pasting device. The interval between the peeling device and the pasting device is set so that the downstream side end part of the label comes over the pasting device before the label peeling operation performed by the peeling device is completed.
