A treating agent for bleaching a plant, characterized by comprising a solvent and, contained therein, either (i) peracetic acid and/or (ii) a combination of a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of tetraacetylethylenediamine, nonanoyloxybenzenesulfonic acid, decanoyloxybenzoic acid, and pentaacetylglucose and b) hydrogen peroxide or (iii) a combination of a') at least one acid and b') at least one oxidizing agent, and by having a pH regulated to 2-4.5 and a water content of 15 wt.% or lower. Also provided is a method of bleaching a plant, characterized by preparing the treating agent immediately before plant bleaching and directly immersing the plant in the treating agent. |
