<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop sale of a commodity to be removed urgently, in real time. <P>SOLUTION: A commodity local file 102 storing commodity information 65, showing whether a commodity corresponds to sales prohibition information 67, for each commodity, a keyboard 88 or a scanner 94 for registering a sales commodity are provided. It is determined whether the registered commodity is prohibited from being sold or not based on the sales prohibition information 67 stored in the commodity local file 102. When it is determined that the registered commodity is not prohibited from being sold, ordinary commodity sales data processing is carried out on the registered commodity.
