PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the volume of landing dot which can possibly suppress a volume-measurement error in each landing dot, occurring due to transpiration of a solvent. SOLUTION: The method for measuring the volume of the landing dot comprises a test spitting step of discharge functional droplets so as to land on a test sheet 16, by using a functional droplet discharge head 1 of an ink jet system into which a functional liquid consisting of a solid component and its solvent is introduced; and a volume-measurement step of measuring the volume, by performing image recognition for the landing dots which are the discharged landing functional droplets. In the volume-measurement step, measuring the volume of the landing dots is carried out, after a drying stabilized state is established, where transpiration of the solvent of the landing dots is made minute.
