A casing has a casing inlet and outlet. A valve ball (2) has first (8) and second (10) inlet openings and an outlet opening (9). An adjusting device operated from outside turns the valve ball on its axis of rotation. The cross-section of the outlet opening is symmetrical to a surface plane aligned to the central axis of the first inlet opening and at right angles to the axis of rotation. Side ends of a C-shaped first section determine maximum width of the outlet opening. On the two side ends there are connecting parallel sections.
