Method and apparatus for manufacturing a coiled component

The method involves winding of a winding wire (5) at a component (7), and separating of the winding wire from the wound component by a rotary cutter (1). The rotary cutter has an external cylinder (2) with a window area and an internal cylinder (3) with another window area. The winding wire is arranged in two window areas for separation. The separation is carried out between the external and internal cylinder by a relative rotation. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a component.
