A timepiece with a smart backlighting device includes a case, a power supply, a timing part, a printed circuit board, and a time adjusting key. The power supply is a dry battery, which is disposed in a battery box. A backlighting device, which is mounted on the back of the timing part, and a backlight source (7) which is mounted behind the backlighting device are also disposed in the case. An integrated circuit, whose input is connected to the time adjusting part, is mounted on the printed circuit board. The first output of the integrated circuit is configured to drive and control the timing part, and its second output is configured to drive and control the backlighting source (7) through a photoresistor which is in series with an electronic switch. |
