TERMINAL, HANDOVER METHOD THEREOF AND RECORDING DEVICE SAVING THAT METHOD

A terminal, a handover method thereof and a recording medium in which the method is stored are provided to support efficient mobility by predicting/using the residing distance and time of the terminal. A terminal moving between heterogeneous networks comprises the followings: a global positioning system portion(80) which computes and outputs its own location; and a controlling unit(12) which calculates the speed from the location outputted from the global positioning system portion, computes the expected time for which the terminal resides in a cell through which the terminal passes, and then performs handover when the expected residence time is bigger than a handover time.
