Nortropane derivatives of formula:- (where R = phenyl (opt. substd. by NH2-, N-2, 6-dichlorophenylamino- or phenylethyl) C2-4 alkenyl (opt.substd. by phenyl), C1-0 alkyl (opt. substd. by phenyl, cycloalkyl and/or by hydroxyl) or pyridyl) and their acid addn. and quaternary ammonium cpds have parasympatholytic and spasmolytic effect and are obtained by reacting 8-(2-hydroxyethyl)-nor-tropane or its reactive deriv with cpd RCOX (where X is halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxy, aryloxy or acyloxy).
