A whitening cosmetic composition contains an MITF (microphthalmia transcription factor) inhibitor selected from the group consisting of N'-[1-(4-chloro-phenyl)-meth-(E)-ylidene]-N-(4,6-di-piperidin-1-yl-[1,3,5]triazin-2-yl)-N-methyl-hydrazine, 3-[4-(4-fluoro-phenylamino)-6-piperidin-1-yl-[1,3,5]triazin-2-yl]-hydrazonomethyl-phenol, 4-[3-(4-chloro-benzoyl)-4-hydroxy-5-oxo-2-phenyl-2,5-dihydro-pyrrol-1-yl]-butyric acid, and their mixture, and an effective ingredient.
