A fluid bearing motor and a disk unit using the fluid bearing motor is provided to suppress the change of motor capacity due to the change of the viscosity variation of bearing fluid caused by temperature change. A fluid bearing motor comprises: a sleeve(4) having shaft(2) inserting hole; a rotatable shaft supported by sleeve with being inserted into the shaft inserting hole(4a); a bearing fluid interposed between the inner surface of the shaft inserting hole of the sleeve and the shaft. The shaft is formed from steel material, iron alloy material, aluminum based alloy material or copper base alloy material and the sleeve is formed from the titanium material.
