<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization apparatus in which dry distilled gas is efficiently purified. <P>SOLUTION: The carbonization apparatus for carbonizing a material to be treated includes: preliminary chambers (first and second preliminary chambers 11, 12); heating chambers (first to fourth heating chambers 21-24); cooling chambers (first to third cooling chambers 31-33); and exhaust pipes 3 for removing gases discharged from those chambers, and also includes: a cooler 6 for cooling gas removed from the heating chambers (first to fourth heating chambers 21-24) to separate oil; an oil recovery unit 7 in which gas removed from the cooler 6 is passed through an oil adsorbing liquid to separate oil contained in the surplus gas; a safety unit 9 in which gas removed from the oil recovery unit 7 is passed through water to prevent backward flow of the gas; and a second odor and smoke eliminating device 61 for burning gas removed from the safety unit 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
