PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment and a navigation system, which reduce properly an electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This portable navigation system 100 is provided with a display part 2 for displaying various pieces of information, and an electric power source part 7 for supplying electric power to the display part, and the system is also provided with: a voice input part 4 for inputting execution instructions for various operations for the navigation system, via a voice; an operation input part 3 for inputting the execution instruction, based on a prescribed operation by a user; and a CPU 8 for stopping electric power supply from the electric power source part to the display part, when the execution instruction is determined to have been inputted via the voice input part.
