A particulate filter (20) for an internal combustion engine comprises a number of pocket-like filter elements (22). These filter elements are made by: a. producing a compound from a sintered metal powder and from a thermoplastic binder; b. molding a pre-green compact of the pocket-like filter elements (22) from said compound; c. removing at least a portion of the binder from the pre-green compact, and; d. sintering. |
