A projector includes: a plurality of light sources for generating lights having different colors; a spatial optical modulator for performing a line-modulation of the lights; wavelength selection filters, disposed between the light sources and the spatial optical modulator, for transmitting or reflecting the lights according to light wavelengths; and a scanner for projecting the light incident from the spatial optical modulator in a line-scan scheme.
