The invention relates to an inductive magnetic sensor comprising a yoke, a coil, a permanent magnet with a first and a second pole face and an end face, the yoke making magnetic contact with the coil, the first pole face of the permanent magnet and the end face. The magnetic sensor also comprises a diffuser body, which makes magnetic contact with the second pole face of the permanent magnet. The invention further relates to the use of a diffuser body in an inductive magnetic sensor, the magnetic field of a permanent magnet being substantially guided through said diffuser body.
