<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform recovery of toner, which is about to scatter, and cooling for the respective components in spite of the simple and inexpensive apparatus effectively utilizing the existing construction. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a suction means 20 for sucking toner scattered from an image forming unit; a toner removing part 13 provided in the middle of an exhaust passage connecting the image forming unit 9 and the suction means 20; a streamline duct 23 provided downstream of the suction means 20, the duct 23 blowing the sucked air to a toner cartridge area 17 where a toner cartridge 17 is disposed; a first passage 20 formed between a catch tray 18 and the toner cartridge 17, in which the air from the streamline duct 23 flows; and a second passage 25, which is connected to the first passage 20, formed between a fixing device 4 and the toner cartridge 17, and configured to guide the air flowing through the first passage 20 to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
