PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-ply simple napkin with the peripheral part embossed, which corresponds to various color needs at a low cost, and which is almost free from the occurrence of the interlayer peeling. SOLUTION: A moisturizing liquid 13A containing a water-based ink of a desired color as a main component is applied to the whole surface of one side of a two-ply continuous sheet S, or the whole surface of the peripheral part, or a partial surface within the peripheral part range, and embossing 40 is carried out under the condition that the embossed range 2 corresponding to the peripheral part containing the coated surface moisturized is heated.
