PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a storage area for memory dump data when a failure occurs in an information processor. SOLUTION: When booting a system 101, a dump file generation management part 106 requests a dump map generation part 107 for processing if original dump data 111 stored in the event of a failure is present. The dump map generation part 107 copies the original dump data 111 to a converted dump file 113. When user data on the original dump data 111 is recovered, extracted actual data 119 that is user data to be recovered is written on actual data 118, the user data is deleted from the converted dump file 113, and the correspondence between the converted dump file 113 and the actual data 118 is further recorded in a dump data block mapping table 114.
