PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide core shell type composite resin particles having excellent light scattering properties. SOLUTION: When a first thermoplastic resin, a second thermoplastic resin and an assistant such as oligosaccharide and water-soluble polysaccharide are melted and kneaded to prepare a dispersion containing composite resin particles with the first thermoplastic resin as cores and the second thermoplastic resin as a shell, e.g., by selecting the combination between the first thermoplastic resin and the second thermoplastic resin or selecting the kind of the assistant, the core shell type composite resin particles in which a plurality of cores are contained in one shell can be obtained. Such core shell type composite resin particles have a rugged shape in the outer form, and can improve light scattering properties compared with spherical or pearly composite resin particles.
