The method involves measuring the course of a ball track (1) that is attached to a joint component (3). The ball track is pressurized by a preset compressive force (F1) based on the measurement, via a pressing element (2), during a relative movement between the ball track and the pressure element along the course of the ball track. Variations in the desired shape of the ball track are determined during the measurement of the course of the ball track. The preset compressive force is adjusted based on the determined variations to decrease the variations.
