A method of measuring thicknesses of components of a vehicle is provided to accurately measure the thickness of a sample by using an automatic thickness measurement unit having a top sensor and a bottom sensor and reduce a time required to measure the thickness. A method of measuring thicknesses of components of a vehicle includes a step of locating a sample(10) on a sample mount(11) of an automatic thickness measurement unit having a top sensor(12) mounted on a top sensor mount(14a) and a bottom sensor(13) mounted on a bottom sensor mount(14b), a step in which the top sensor moves to a thickness measurement point of the sample on the top sensor mount and coordinates of the point are stored as reference coordinates, a step in which the bottom sensor moves to the point corresponding to the reference coordinates on the bottom sensor mount and a distance between initial coordinates of the bottom face of the sample, sensed by the bottom sensor, and the reference coordinates is calculated, and a step in which the bottom sensor moves to an arbitrary point within a predetermined range according to a binary search method, a distance between coordinates of the bottom face of the sample, sensed by the bottom sensor, and the reference coordinates is calculated and a shortest distance to the reference coordinates is obtained.
