<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure a nip amount between a developer carrier and an electrostatic latent image carrier, by bringing the force by which a film member is drawn out within a predetermined range, when rotating the electrostatic latent image carrier and the developer carrier by disposing the film member between them, thereby preventing the occurrence of void due to the degradation of the nip amount. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device abuts with the electrostatic latent image carrier, and includes the developer carrier for developing a latent image on the electrostatic latent image carrier. In the device, a predetermined film member is disposed between the electrostatic latent image carrier and the developer carrier, and has a relational expression as A×B×exp (0.32×F-16)/N≤11.6, where the force by which the film member is drawn out is a tensile force N [N], an outer diameter difference between a central part and both ends of the developer carrier is A [mm], a deflection is B [mm], and an asker C hardness is F [degree], when rotating the electrostatic latent image carrier and the developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
