PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a composite semipermeable film which exhibits a high removal rate when used for removing salt and by which boron undissociated in a neutral region can be separated/removed at a high removal rate. SOLUTION: A method for forming a separation-functional layer containing cross-linked polyamide on a microporous supporting film comprises the steps of: bringing a polyfunctional amine aqueous solution into contact with the microporous supporting film; bringing an organic solvent solution, which contains polyfunctional oxyhalide and is immiscible with water, into contact with the polyfunctional amine aqueous solution-contacted microporous supporting film to cause an interfacial polycondensation reaction. The composite semipermeable film, which is manufactured by the method for forming the separation-functional layer containing cross-linked polyamide on the microporous supporting film, is immersed in an aqueous solution, which contains neutral inorganic salt and has≥30°C temperature, to treat the composite semipermeable film.
