TOUCH POSITION SENSING SYSTEM USING ACOUSTIC WAVE

A system for recognizing the touched position by using elastic waves is provided to increase the luminance of a light source with smaller power consumption, thereby being applied to a large-sized display unit, and having simple structure. A system for recognizing the touched position comprises the followings: a touch panel(100); elastic wave receiving sensors(101, 102, 103, 104) which are positioned on a touch panel and detect elastic waves generated on the touch panel when a user touches the touch panel; and a signal processing unit(110) which processes the signals received from the elastic wave receiving sensors and produces the location of the external touch.
