SELECTION METHOD OF THE MOBILE ANCHOR POINT AND NETWORK SYSTEM USING THIS METHOD

A method for selecting a mobile anchor point and a network system using the same are provided to reduce the number of handovers between a mobile node and a domain. A method for selecting an MAP(Mobile Anchor Point) comprises the steps of: forming an MAP(Mobile Anchor Point) cash by receiving an MAP option transmitted from an access router to an MAP(602); searching and selecting from the MAP cash the MAP which has a speed range of a mobile node when receiving a connection request from the mobile node(606); and transmitting the MAP option of the selected MAP to the mobile node when the load of the selected MAP is not in a overload state(609).
