<p>The device (1) has a shaft (3) supported in housing (2). The shaft on a turbine side (5) and a compressor side (7) is directly or indirectly supported at the housing over case elements (9, 9'). Bearing rings (10a-10d) i.e. piston ring, are axially spaced from each other, and arranged between the housing and the shaft or between the housing and the elements. Annular spaces (11a, 11b) lying in an axial direction between the rings are connected with a low-pressure area (12) i.e. low-pressure oil collecting area. The spaces are limited in a circumferential direction of the shaft or the elements.</p> |
