A parking lot management system and a method thereof are provided to prevent the leakage of a user's personal information to the outside and to guide a vehicle of the user to a parking lot near a user's house by supplying parking lot information to the user. A parking lot management system using a home network based on security technology includes: a home sever(110) which searches schedule and driving information of the user from a user terminal; a parking management sever(120) which receives the schedule and driving information from the home sever; and a VCM(132) which extracts departure and destination information included in the received schedule information and transmits the departure and destination information to a navigation system.
